The St. Lawrence Valley Human Resource Management (SLVHRMA) is an affiliate chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), the world’s largest professional association devoted to Human Resource management. Our chapter is an organization of HR professionals from a variety of industries, working primarily in St. Lawrence County. Local chapter membership, in conjunction with national SHRM membership, provides the well-rounded HR professional with extensive networking, programming and learning opportunities.

The cost of annual chapter membership (on a calendar year basis) provides members with the following benefits:

• Regular meetings (primarily lunch or virtual)
• Networking opportunities
• Professional development opportunities through conferences, seminars, and HRCI certified workshops. In many cases, there is a reduced rate for SLVHRMA SHRM members
• Opportunities for involvement in legislative "grassroots" efforts and access to up-to-date legislative information through chapter’s Legislative Director and the New York SHRM State Council
• Opportunities for committee, volunteer and leadership positions with the chapter
